The SJCC has represented the construction industry in Suffolk for over 65 years. The abbreviation originally stood for ‘Suffolk Joint Consultative Committee’, but this year the group has rebranded and changed one word in its title to give a better reflection of what it does.
‘Consultative’ has been replaced by ‘Construction’ to form ‘Suffolk Joint Construction Committee’ and a new logo has been designed to give it a more contemporary and modern feel.
However, the SJCC ethos and core values remain the same; to bring together the knowledge and opinions of local architects, quantity surveyors, builders, consulting engineers, building specialist contractors and specialist engineering contractors. It provides a forum where the collective opinions of its members can be represented, and lobbied to national organisations, professional bodies, as well as regional and national government.
